HOW IMPORTANT IS RECOVERY?

We all understand that exercise is good for us. Anyone who has done a hard training session will understand how good you feel right afterwards, but is recovery just as important?Well in fact it is!

Every time you physically exert yourself during sport or exercise you are putting your body under stress. Now this isn't a bad thing, however you will not be able to maintain a high level of performance over the long term.

During your rest day your body is working on strengthening ,building and repairing any damaged tissue. Without this you are at a higher level of risk for injury and lower performance levels during subsequent training which is counter productive.

So yes, we are giving you permission to have a rest day.
